Pursuant to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the president of UAE, November 30th of each year was set to be the national Martyrs Day as a praise and gratitude in honor of the sacrifices of the martyrs of the homeland. Thus, Emirates Real Estate Organization (EREC) set down the UAE flag at 8:00 a.m. at its headquarters building in Abu Dhabi. EREC staff stood a moment of silence for the spirit of the righteous martyrs of the motherland who had taken their lives to defend the nation-state and its borders, the UAE flag was raised up again at 11:00 a.m.
